The ircd used on blackcobalt.net is a hacked hybrid7, with OFTC's patchset (1.6.7) and some of our own fixes.
ircd-hybrid7 is an extremely robust production-class ircd designed for EFNet.
OFTC's changes combined with our patches make this revision of hybrid7 more suitable for smaller networks.
